Music Ministry

Music is an integral part of every liturgical celebration at St. Raymonds.We are always looking for talented vocalists and instrumentalists of all ages. Each Mass has a unique character and speaks to people with varying tastes in music, from very traditional to contemporary Christian.  5 pm Saturday – Cantor Led  7 am Sunday –Cantor Led  9 am- Traditional Adult Choir. Rehearsals are held every Thursday at 7 pm in the St. Patrick’s Room. 11 am & 5:30pm Contemporary Choir (with the School Choir singing once a month during the school year,  usually the first Sunday of the month.) Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm in the ST Thomas Room. 1 pm – Spanish Choir Contact Jose Soto  (562-923-4509) Rehearsals are held one hour before in the St. Joseph’s Room

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a week.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Anyone Parish.

Senior Altar Server

Men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community.

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday evenings at 6:30PM in the Chapel during Lent.

Usher

Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.

Youth Ministry                                                   Our Mission is to mold loving disciples who will transform the world, one youth at a time. Our youth program is alive and well on it's way to a wonderful year. If interested in helping our donating to our youth program, please contact Jennifer Quinones 562-923-4209 ext 1106.

Sandwich Program

Help make Sandwiches Friday mornings at 7:30am to take to the homeless. We can always use drivers to help deliver these sandwiches to the needy as well. Enjoy the feeling of helping make someone day. Like to help? Contact Silvia Larson 562-818-9445

Liturgical Linen Service

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens. If interested, please call Madeline Buckley 562-934-3494.

Men’s Group

All men are welcome! Meetings are held Mondays @ 6PM. Join us for coffee, snacks, socialization, and engaging (no pressure) conversation about our faith in a relaxed environment.

Monday Night Prayer Group

Join us Monday nights at 7 pm in the Church to read and reflect upon the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel, Liturgy of the Hours and prayer (intercessory, and alternating Rosary or Divine Mercy). 

Altar Server

 It is a privilege to serve at the Altar of our God.  Servers have a responsibility to serve with dignity and reverence.The primary role of the altar server is to assist and support priests in the celebration of the liturgy during Mass. This is done through the servers' prayerful presence, specific actions and active participation in the liturgy (hymns, responses, etc.) setting an example to the congregation.  They also commit to serving at several different mass times across the weekend Liturgies.Coordinator: Kathi Bode   Phone: 562-923-3142

 

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Please contact Danette Buckley 562-923-4509 ext 1107

Greeters

Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass.

Lector

Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services. If interested in reading at any Masses, please contact Danette Buckley at 562-923-4509 Ext. 1107

RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. Please call Sandy Gallegos in the Rectory at 562-923-4509 Ext. 1103.

Sacristan

 Sacristans work in the sacristy to set up for Mass, which includes putting out the sacred vessels, organizing the liturgical books, and seeing to the proper amount of bread and wine is set out for the liturgy. After the Mass, they make sure the sacristy is cleaned up and in good order. Each daily, Saturday and Sunday Mass at St. Raymonds is assigned a sacristan, along with the funeral masses.
